A Global Brand Beacon for Alpha Industries Europe
Sunst adapted their ongoing brand and positioning framework for Alpha Industries Europe into a scalable spatial concept – the first brick-and-mortar store for the heritage brand. The design merges Alpha Industries’ aviation legacy with a modern, future-forward ethos and state-of-the-art retail design, creating a brand beacon where physical and virtual experiences converge.
Reflecting Alpha Industries’ history of material experimentation, Sunst curated unexpected material pairings – such as the exposed aggregate concrete counter juxtaposed with monolithic ducting surfaces – while weaving in brand colour accents for a space that feels both innovative and emotionally resonant. To overcame the architectural complexity of the store’s asymmetrical layout, the design incorporated recessed, altar-like spaces. These niches showcased historic items, connected the brand’s rich legacy to contemporary campaigns, engaging both loyal followers while attracting new audiences.
Branding Concept
Inspired by the internal structure of a plane fuselage, Sunst designed distinctive “Wingrack” presenters. Their cantilevered design – echoing perforated “fuselage formers” – referenced Alpha Industries’ aviation legacy while serving as a brand icons, ensuring high-recognition value.
