Iconic Clarity with Braun and Highsnobiety
Applying the famous design principles of Braun and Dieter Rams to produce a unified and bespoke legacy presentation for seven refurbished Braun appliances.
As part of the Highsnobiety and Braun Anniversary Collection, celebrating 100 years of the iconic German brand, seven of their classic products were refurbished, repackaged and auctioned. To present this collaboration, Sunst conceived a systematic and timeless containment system that adhered to Dieter Ram’s design principles of simplicity, order and harmony.
Each of the seven refurbished appliances – including Ram’s famous wandanlage stereo system and universal shelving system, a lemon squeezer and a 1962 razor designed by Gerd Alfred Müller and Hans Gugelot – had to be fitted together proportionally and adhere to Braun’s design language. To secure these appliances tightly and securely, handmade linen was used to line the silkscreenprinted containers. The finished packaging boxes refocused the classic Braun products in a future-facing setting and celebrated the design legacy of the brand.
